ABOUT THE FOUNDER 

After growing up in a family full of sensitive stomachs, Amber was no stranger to the discomfort food could bring. But by the age of 24, things had reached a breaking point—nearly everything she ate left her feeling bloated, exhausted, and in pain.

Frustrated and fed up, she dove headfirst into the world of wellness, experimenting with every style of eating—vegetarian, vegan, paleo, you name it. But it wasn’t until she went back to school to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist that everything clicked.

Armed with her RHN certification and a passion for helping others feel good in their bodies again, Amber set out to make a difference.

She quickly realized one thing: no two people are the same. Everyone’s path to health looks a little different—and that includes what they can (and can’t) eat. With over 50% of households directly or indirectly affected by food allergies, she knew she wasn’t alone in the daily struggle of label reading, recipe tweaking, and trying to make meals that actually taste good.

True Taste Cafe was born from that mission—to support others on their journey, with food that’s comforting, convenient, and completely free from the most common allergens. Because everyone deserves to feel good after they eat.

The three biggest frustrations that Amber solved while creating True Taste products were:

1. There were no ready-made products available free from all major allergens 
2. All the allergen-free ready-made products available which removed allergens subbed back in nutritionally void and sometimes even harmful ingredients making it impossible to find healthy, whole foods options that were convenient for our busy lives 
3. The majority of allergen-free ready-made products either tasted bad or weird, either felt like cardboard or crumbled to pieces and were unsatisfying leaving consumers feeling discouraged

 Throughout this journey, she has remained fuelled by: 

1. The excitement of her personal experience figuring out how to intuitively eat in a way that made her feel like an energizer bunny
2. The frustration of finding sub par, cardboard foods in the grocery stores & restaurants that were filled with major allergens or poor quality ingredients
